International Convention 2006

The 2006 Sertoma International Convention was a great success. I went to Omaha for International Leader Training on Wednesday and Thursday.
Rita and the rest of my family joined me on Thursday. The sessions were great! I really learned a great deal from the meetings, especially the insurance meeting.
I hope to have the same presentation at our Fall District Conference in October. When we weren't in sessions we had time to explore Omaha. I was really surprised -
Omaha had so much to offer: The downtown area was full of shops and great dinning. The zoo was everything everyone had told me and so much more.
We even wandered west to the Strategic Air Command Museum - I've never seen so many planes indoors in my life!

Conventions are great for to learning and making new Sertoma friends. They are also great opportunities to explore and enjoy a new city.
We have several conventions coming up - Fall District at the Lake of the Ozarks in the fall and Regional next spring in Springfield, MO. So when you hear
about these conventions, please consider attending, as you can see by the pictures conventions are a great time!
